I’m Anna, the founder and creator behind Piney Woods Mercantile. Thank you for stopping by and supporting my small business. Every order, every message, and every kind word means more than I can express.
For nearly 20 years, I built my career in the banking industry, working my way into leadership as a Financial Center Manager. While that chapter taught me valuable lessons about business, service, and perseverance, I eventually realized that corporate America no longer aligned with my core values. I believe people should always come before profit, and I wanted to build something that reflected that belief.
On April 16, 2026—my birthday and one of the most meaningful days of my life—I officially launched Piney Woods Mercantile.
This business represents freedom, creativity, and the possibility of building a life on my own terms. More importantly, it represents the opportunity to create products that bring comfort, joy, and connection to others.
As a busy professional and mother, I understand how difficult it can be to find thoughtful gifts in a world that moves so quickly. My vision for Piney Woods Mercantile was simple: create meaningful, handcrafted gifts that help people celebrate, encourage, comfort, and connect with the people they love.
Based in San Antonio, Texas, I carefully create and curate products inspired by simple pleasures, cozy moments, and everyday self-care. Whether it’s a handcrafted soap, a comforting candle, a relaxing bath product, or a thoughtfully assembled gift box, my hope is that each item feels personal and intentional.
When I’m not working on Piney Woods Mercantile, you’ll usually find me reading a good book, tending to my garden, experimenting with new recipes in the kitchen, enjoying a cup of coffee, or spending time with my beloved chinchilla. Most importantly, you’ll find me spending time with my daughter, Jayden.
Jayden is my greatest inspiration and the reason behind so much of what I do. Everything I aspire to build, achieve, and become is rooted in creating a better future for her. She reminds me daily of the importance of courage, kindness, and following your dreams—even when the path feels uncertain.
Piney Woods Mercantile is more than a business to me. It’s a dream built one handmade product, one market event, and one customer at a time. It’s proof that it’s never too late to start over, pursue your passions, and create something meaningful.
